About replies

Starryfable is made by one person, so replies can take a few days. We do not promise a response time, and we would rather say that plainly than set an expectation we cannot keep. Every message is read.

What to include

You do not have to fill in a form. But these four things make a problem much faster to fix:

• What you were doing when it happened (for example: "saving a constellation after naming it").
• What you expected, and what happened instead.
• Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
• The Starryfable version, shown in Settings → About Starryfable inside the app.

The app's own support screen can prepare a draft with the app and iOS versions already filled in. It only opens a draft in your mail app — it never sends anything on its own, and it attaches nothing else.

Common questions

I paid for Pro but the app still shows the free version

Open Settings inside the app and choose Restore purchases, using the Apple Account you bought it with. If it still does not appear, write to us with the Apple Account region and the approximate purchase date.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open Settings inside the app and choose Manage subscription, or go to the App Store app → your account → Subscriptions. Deleting Starryfable does not cancel a subscription. Everything you have already made stays in your library whether or not Pro is active.

Where are my constellations stored?

On your iPhone. There is no account and no server copy. That also means that if you delete the app, the works stored on that device go with it. Export or send anything you want to keep first.

The sky does not line up with what I see

Starryfable uses your device's location and the way you are holding it. Allow location access when asked, and try re-framing from the creation screen. Indoors and near large metal objects the compass can drift.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone, iOS 17 or later. Nothing else is announced.

Can I delete my data?

Delete individual works from the library, or delete the app to remove everything stored on that device. We hold no copy to delete on our side. If you have written to support, ask us and we will delete that correspondence.
