Starryfable gives you the same night sky and lets you do the same thing. Not a quiz, not a horoscope, not a feed to perform in. Just the real stars over your city, and whatever you decide to see in them.

What travels in a constellation file is the drawing, its name, and its story — not your location, not the date, not what you wrote on the card. An image export shows the city and date on the card itself, so you can see what you are sharing before you share it.

Send a friend your sky. They draw their own answer over the identical stars, and you put the two side by side. There are no scores and no rankings — just the strange pleasure of seeing what someone else saw in the same five points of light.

Questions
Is it free?
Creating, saving, revisiting, gifting and comparing are all free, without limits. Pro adds memory skies, all twelve themes, unlimited albums, letter and certificate cards, 4K images, and story films.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no server holding your work. Everything lives on your device.
Does it use my location?
It uses your device's sense of where and which way you are pointing, to draw the sky above you. For memory skies you pick a city from a list built into the app — no lookup is sent anywhere.
What leaves my device?
Anonymous counts of which screens get used, so the app can be improved. Your constellations, stories, names, birthday and city stay on your device. What you deliberately export or send is the only other thing that leaves.
Is this astrology?
No. Starryfable does not read fortunes, signs, or personalities. It shows the real sky and lets you draw in it.
How much does Pro cost?
Pricing will be shown on the App Store and inside the app before you subscribe. We are not quoting a figure here until it is final.
Android or iPad?
Starryfable is an iPhone app today. Nothing else is announced.
What does my friend actually receive?
A constellation file carries the drawing, its name and its story. It does not carry the date, your location, or your dedication. If you send an image instead, the card shows the city and date printed on it.
